The Cover
Immunofluorescence of Stat5b subcellular distribution following TNF-&agr; treatment of Ramos lymphoma cells. Immunocytochemical detection with FITC-conjugated antibodies identifies the translocation of Stat5b (green) from the cytoplasmic to the nuclear region of cells, surrounding the nucleoli. This TNF-&agr;-induced recruitment occurred through activation of Janus tyrosine kinases Jak1 and Tyk2 and was initiated through an interaction between TNFR-1 and Jak1. For details see the article by S. Miscia, et al. in this issue.
